Following a 15 year career as a psychotherapist in private practice, British photographer Sîan Davey launched a career in photography in 2014, drawing on her experiences as a psychotherapist and mother to inform her practice. Her mentoring sessions support others to develop their own creative process.
My approach is rich, rewarding and flexible, and allows the artists I work with to develop their practice in an inspiring online platform. I work with both established, emerging and serious amateur photographers offering appropriate critical and practical in-depth advice. I’m interested in working with a wide range of issues from what’s holding you back in your work (commercial/personal) helping you get beneath your ideas and importantly identifying what your unique voice is. We can work with editing and sequencing as well as formulating a piece of writing that speaks clearly about your practice.
Essentially, my role is to walk alongside you to support you manifest your vision. What emerges from this process is always interesting and exciting and often takes the work to unimagined places.

Terms and Conditions
All sessions will be on Zoom unless otherwise arranged. I live in Devon UK so if you can travel, I can meet you in person. There is flexibility with scheduling the sessions; you may choose to have a two-hour meeting for example. Just contact me to specify what would work for you. Over the course of 6 months, only one session can be rearranged. With regret, I must restrict contact to specified meeting times.
Fees and payments
The cost of the mentor programme must be paid on acceptance of the application. Bookings for single sessions must be paid within 24 hours Bookings for the course must be paid within seven days. The fees are non-refundable The course must be completed within the 6-month period (unless otherwise discussed) Sessions cancelled less than 48 hours in advance will be charged the full fee.
